Heritage Club Activities
The Heritage Club is dedicated to immersing students in the rich heritage and culture of our country through engaging activities. Here’s a summary of recent activities for grades 3, 4, and 5:
Grade 3: Students created palm prints using the tri-colors of the Indian flag - saffron, white, and green. They made posters symbolizing unity in diversity and wrote interesting facts about India on their palm prints. This activity was both enjoyable and educational, offering insights into India’s heritage.
Grade 4: The session focused on Indian heritage, including cultural monuments and national symbols. Students explained various symbols using charts they prepared, drew and colored these symbols, and discussed their significance. This activity enhanced their knowledge of national symbols and fostered patriotism.
Grade 5: Students explored the heritage sites of Tumkur. Divided into groups, they researched different sites and presented their findings through collages. This activity developed their research skills, creativity, teamwork, and increased their understanding of Tumkur’s heritage sites.
These activities are designed to deepen students' understanding and appreciation of both national and local heritage.
