Environmental Day Celebration
Prudence School celebrated World Environment Day with great enthusiasm and active participation from all grades on June 5, 2025. The day began with a special morning assembly dedicated to raising awareness about environmental protection.
Highlights of the assembly included:
A dance performance by students portraying the importance of saving Mother Earth
A group song emphasizing the need to protect the planet
A pledge by all students to conserve the environment and adopt the 3Rs – Reduce, Reuse, and
Recycle
After the assembly, students were engaged in various grade-wise activities designed to foster
environmental responsibility and creativity:
Grade 3 – Kitchen Cures
Students brought medicinal spices from their kitchens and confidently spoke about their healing properties and traditional uses, connecting nature with daily life.
Grade 4 – Home Cures
Students brought medicinal herbs from home and shared insights into their health benefits and uses, promoting awareness of natural remedies.
Grades 5, 6 & 7 – Nature Journal
Students reused old papers and notebooks to create beautiful Nature Journals. They went on a nature walk, collecting leaves, flowers, feathers, and twigs, and creatively expressed their observations through poems, drawings, and descriptions. The activity was both creative and enriching.
Grades 8 & 9 – Nature Photography
A house-wise nature photography competition was organized. Students captured the beauty of the school garden through their lenses and presented their best photographs, showcasing their artistic perspective and appreciation for nature.
The day was a wonderful blend of learning, creativity, and environmental awareness. It successfully instilled in students a deep respect for nature and a commitment to protect our planet.
