The Inter House Debate Competition organised by our school was a huge success, showcasing the intellect, eloquence and confidence of our students. It provided a platform for students to hone their public speaking skills and engage in meaningful discourse, while fstering a spirit of healthy competition. The event showcased the talent and eloquence of our students as they engaged in thought provoking discussions.
The competition witnessed enthusiastic participation from students of Grade 8 and 9. The topics for the debate were provided well in advance, allowing participants ample time to prepare. The participants were divided into two categories Coral versus Sapphire and Ruby versus Emerald on the topic 'Scientific Research of other Planets will doom our Earth' and 'Social Media will affect our lives' respectively and Coral and Emerald House were declared the winners. Ms. Veena moderated the session extremely well in the preliminary round.
On 2nd August, 2024 the final round of the competition was held between Coral and Emerald House on the topic 'Most of the problems of students today arise from their unrestricted freedom' and Emerald House was declared the winners Ms. Shaistha, the Head of the Dept. of English moderated the session extremely well.
