"A Look at our Nation`s Triumphant Anniversary"
The Independence Day celebration at our school was a grand event marked by patriotism, unity, and cultural pride. The Honourable Chief Guest Col. P. V.Hari was accompanied by Prof. G. S. Renukappa, President of PIRS, Mr. Vijayakumar V Kulkarni Administrator PIRS and Ms. Subarna Chatterjee, Principal PIRS, The event commenced with the hoisting of the national flag by our esteemed Chief Guest, Col. P. V. Hari. who is the recipient of Peacock and the Seva Ratna Award. The flag fluttered majestically as the National Anthem was sung with patriotic fervor.
Following the unfurling of the flag the audience witnessed a well-coordinated March Past by the students, showcasing discipline and teamwork. The marching contingents, led by the school captains, displayed an impressive sense of synchronization and pride in representing their respective Houses.
A welcome note was rendered by Mr Vijayakumar V Kulkarni.
Followed by the inspirational speech by our Chief Guest. He advised, students, teachers and parents to imbibe discipline and good habits in their life for their success.
Addressing the gathering, our Principal Ms Subarna Chatterjee spoke eloquently about the importance of instilling patriotism and celebrating our cultural heritage.
In presidential address, our esteemed President Prof. G.S. Renukappa outlined his vision for fostering patriotic values through various educational initiatives and programs."
One of the highlights of the event was the Dance Drill, which was performed by the students with great enthusiasm. The drill was a beautiful blend of beats and movements.
A special segment of the celebration was dedicated to the Journey of the Santhals. This segment traced the history of the Santhal community from their participation in the freedom movement to the present day, culminating in the proud moment of having Hon`ble Draupadi Murmu as an elected representative and the President of India. The presentation was both informative and inspirational, highlighting the significant contributions of the Santhal community to our nation.
The event also included a captivating skit on the freedom movement, performed by the students. The skit depicted the struggles and sacrifices made by our freedom fighters, reminding everyone of the importance of the freedom we enjoy today. The students' performances were commendable, evoking a deep sense of respect and gratitude towards our nation's heroes.
The program concluded with a vote of thanks proposed by the school student`s council president Ms. Ameera Shariff. The Chief Guest appreciated the efforts of the students and teachers in organizing such a meaningful celebration. The day ended on a high note, with everyone leaving the venue with a renewed sense of patriotism and pride.
