Hindi: Our Heritage
Prudence International School celebrated Hindi Diwas with great enthusiasm and fervor on September 14, 2024. The event aimed to promote the rich cultural heritage of the Hindi language and foster a deeper appreciation for it among students.
The event featured cultural performances including songs by 8th graders and dances by 5th and 6th- grade students. Academic presentations ranged from nursery rhymes by younger students to debates by senior grades. Notable highlights included a speech on Hindi Day by a 10th grader and an introduction to Jnanpith Award winners. The celebration encompassed both second and third language learners, with age-appropriate activities from name decoration by juniors to poster-making by seniors, culminating in a comprehensive showcase of Hindi language appreciation.
Hindi Day serves as a reminder of India's rich linguistic diversity while highlighting the role of Hindi as a unifying language. The celebration encourages the use and development of Hindi while respecting the multilingual nature of India.
